These mugs are thrown on the wheel and then stamped with the mini checker design. The stamped in checkers are painted white with cherries, strawberries, watermelon, and ants! All the designs are hand painted. The 16 ounce size has one more row than the 12oz size so it has three rows of ants, but both mugs have one row of each of the fruits. The painted areas are matte, and the rest of the mug, including the interior, is a glossy red. These are a labor of love! They only come in 12 and 16 ounce sizes.
