Hi, I’m Emma! I am the owner and artist behind Osso Ceramics. I am and have always been the only employee. I design, make, glaze, paint, pack, ship, and basically do everything for the business. I of course have help from my lovely partner, Dylan, and the support of my friends when I need them. But it’s a labor of my own love!

I started Osso Ceramics in 2017 when I was graduating from university as a way to keep making art post art school. I have been lucky enough to have been full time since 2021 and am now located in Philadelphia, PA.

People often ask “what’s with the tooth?” and here’s the answer! I was making a lot of art about teeth in art school and the tooth stamp was the first stamp I ever made. It is my original design and therefore it is in my logo. I just like teeth! I think they’re cool and fun. Osso comes from the latin root for bone “os” and it is mirrored. OSSO happens to be the same forwards and backwards and upside down or right side up. I like the meaning and the symbolism.

Every piece I make with use in mind. The handles are comfy to hold, the pieces themselves are durable, the lip of the mug is glazed for a comfy drinking experience. Plus, dishwasher and microwave safe. I hope you enjoy!
