This item is handmade from stoneware ceramics. It is designed to pour liquids and can be used for olive oil, salad dressing, even liquid soaps.
It was thrown on the wheel and then stamped with my hand carved olive stamp. The olives are glossy green and red and the interior and top are a satin white. The rest of the cruet is unglazed which makes it feel non slippery in your hand and the indentations from the olive stamps feel great under your fingers. The top is made from rubber and metal and has a weighted lid for the pour spout that uncovers the spout as you tip the cruet to pour. It keeps your olive oil fresh longer! The spout is easily removable to wash and refill your cruet. Each one will vary slightly in size but fit approximately 12 fluid ounces of liquid.
